Jesus’s ministry continued to grow. People knew that he was different from other teachers. A crowd gathered around him on a mountain side. This teaching is known as The Sermon on the Mount. It is the most famous sermon Jesus ever gave.
Jesus had been teaching and performing miracles in Galilee. He goes to Jerusalem for the Passover. Many people begin to follow him one of them was a pharisee or Jewish religious teacher named Nicodemus. Let’s see what happens.
Starting this week we will be in the New Testament. In December we learned about the birth of Jesus and when he was a boy in the Temple. Our story this week starts when Jesus is 30 years old.
God promised His people their very own land, in return they promised to follow God and worship only him. God’s people didn’t keep their promise. As a result they lost their country and endured many years living as captives in faraway countries. Daniel, Esther and others who chose to remain faithful to God.
