Christmas Thoughts

We live in a culture of commercialism. When most people think of Christmas; they picture a Christmas tree, family, presents, and Santa. However, Christ should always be at the heart of Christmas.

The true meaning of Christmas is love. John 3:16-17 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” The true meaning of Christmas is the celebration of this incredible act of grace, love, and mercy.

The real Christmas story is the story of Immanuel, God with us. The king of kings and lord of lords became a human being in a lowly manger.

Why did God do such a thing? Because He loves us, and we needed a Savior!  Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord (Luke 2:11). Please join us for a candlelight Christmas Eve service and a Christmas Day service. We will worship and focus on the real reason for the season.
