- God has a plan for me and wants the best for me (Weeks 1)
- I can trust God to keep his promises (Week 8)
Bible Verse
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) (Week 1)
Focus
Our person of the week is Abram or Abraham. You may remember Abraham from Week 1. God told Abraham that he had special plans for him. God promised Abraham’s family would be used bless the world. First, Abraham had to trust God to keep his promises even when it seemed impossible. Second, Abraham had to obey God. God told Abraham to pack up his family and move to a new land. Have you ever moved somewhere new? How did you feel? It can be hard or even scary.

This week we have two Bible truths.
- God has a plan for me and wants the best for me (Weeks 1 & 9)
- I can trust God to keep his promises (Week 8)
Those are important truths for you to remember.
In the Bible we can find several promises that God made to us. This week we are going to look at one each day.
Day 1: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
God created you for a purpose and he has a special plan for your life. Have you ever thought about what you want to be when you grow up? God has and he as a plan for you. It is okay if you don’t know what it is right now. As a kid it is important for you learn, grow, and develop life skills.
Day 2: God began a good work in you. And I am sure that he will carry it on until it is completed. That will be on the day Christ Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6 (NIRV)
Yesterday, we learned that God has special purpose for you. He is working to prepare you for that purpose. There are so many things and lessons you must learn as you grow. Sometimes it can be hard to wait.
Day 3: 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:37-39 (ESV)
God loves you very much. There is nothing you can do that will make him not love you. He has loved you and had a special purpose for you before you were born. Even before you great-great-great grandparents were born.
Day 4: But God is faithful and fair. If we confess our sins, he will forgive our sins. He will forgive every wrong thing we have done. He will make us pure. 1 John 1:9 (NIRV)
When we mess up God forgives us. He also does not stop loving us. We do need to tell and ask for forgives. God will always forgive you.
Day 5: And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:3 (NIV)
This is my favorite promise we have learned this week. God has a place for me in heaven. He wants me to be with Him forever.
