“I’m so sorry for your loss” has become such a common phrase in the past year. I use it so much that my phone automatically suggests that whenever I type, I’m. The past year has been a year of loss a loss of normalcy, a loss of family, a loss of friends, the loss of relationships, and I could go on. It is heartbreaking it seems like we’ve lost all normalcy and all hope in this past year.
One thing I know in times when I have no words and all I can do is just cry with them. As believers we have hope. We have hope that Christ can take this mess that we’re in and make something good of it. We have hope to see our loved ones again. We have hope that this world is not our home and that something that better waits for us. We have hope through God’s grace that we can make it through times like this.
When you don’t know what to do or how to continue turn to Jesus. When you have friends that are going through stuff, and you don’t know what to say or do be Jesus with skin. When the world is spiraling out of control and blowing up in front of you be Jesus to those around you. Show the grace and love of Jesus.
