You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you. Nehemiah 9:6 New International Version

Years ago, the early part of the last century, a man’s car broke down on the side of the road. He was out working on the car, unsuccessfully trying to get it started, when another man stopped to help. The second gentleman looked at the engine, worked on it for just a minute and told the first man to start it up. The car immediately started with no problem. The owner of the car asked his helper, “How did you fix the car so quickly and how did you know what it needed?” The man answered, “I am Henry Ford. I built the car. I know what makes it work.”

God created you and me. He created us in His image. He knows what makes us work and what we need. He can handle our problems; we can trust in the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Sermon Central)

17 Some became fools through their rebellious ways and suffered affliction because of their iniquities. 18 They loathed all food and drew near the gates of death. 19 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. 20 He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. 21 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind. 22 Let them sacrifice thank offerings and tell of his works with songs of joy.  Psalm 107:17-20 New International Version

Our Creator has unfailing love for us and performs wonderful deeds. The Heavenly Father hears our cries for help. Isn’t it amazing that the Lord’s love is unfailing? Not only does the Father care for us, His loving kindness cannot be stopped. We are protected by the Father’s mighty hand.

I love how we are to worship with thankfulness and songs of joy. Christians should be people of joy. The Lord intimately knows us and has a plan for each of us; the Father shaped us before our birth. We are not cosmic accidents! We are lovingly crafted.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. Psalm 139:13 New International Version

Prayer: Abba Father we lift up our hands in praise and fall on our knees in worship! You alone are worthy of worship. Thank you for making each of us and for gifting us with your Son’s love and your Spirit’s power. In the precious name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Nathan
